Joanie Gonthier

Upon obtaining her Bachelor's degree in Communication (Journalism) at the Université du Québec à Montréal, Joanie landed a job as a weathercaster at Météo Média. In 2014, she became a social media columnist at RDS, in addition to participating in a few shows on the channel. Over the years, she has obtained various positions on several television programs and is part of our daily life.

In December 2019, Joanie created a shockwave with the publication of an article titled "Every morning, microphone in hand, smiling, I was lying to you", about her experience with mental illness, on the Urbania magazine website. In less than 24 hours, the article had reached nearly one million people. A few months later, she released her very first book entitled “J’ai menti”. Since then, Joanie has been walking from one TV set to another or from one social media platform to another, where she cultivates and maintains true and honest exchanges about mental health.

With her sparkling personality, her compassion and big smile, nothing is ordinary with Joanie, but everything is authentic!
