I had a challenging week at work prior to this workshop. During the workshop I was able to let go and learn positive ways of dealing with my emotions through things like palm breathing and tools for centering myself. I am thankful for art-based opportunities like this to debrief because it is much needed to maintain mental healthiness
Being self-aware of my own feelings did not come straight away. However after seven to eight minutes of drawing it became easier and felt heartwarming. When I started I couldn’t even stop. This art activity helps me to realize good memories I almost forgot about.
