It's Mental Health Week!

Ottawa, Tuesday, May 7, 2019

During this year’s Mental Health Week, presented by the Canadian Mental Health Association, Canadians are encouraged to #GetLoud about mental health from May 6 to 12.

The week aims to raise awareness of the fact that we all have mental health, just like we all have physical health. Hundreds of events, activities and conversations will take place from St. John’s to Prince George in an effort to create an environment for positive mental health.

In conjunction with Mental Health Week, Canadians are also encouraged to have conversations about positive mental health with children and youth in their lives as part of National Child and Youth Mental Health Day today. Schools and communities can download resources and activity guides that promote this year’s theme, ‘I care about the ‘whole’ you’. To learn more visit may7icare.ca.
