On May 7, Walk So Kids Can Talk
Montreal , Tuesday, May 2, 2017
The annual Walk So Kids Can Talk is a 5 km walk that takes place in communities across Canada on Sunday, May 7. With fun activities for the whole family and special giveaways, it’s a great way to get some fresh air and support a great cause.
Benefitting Kids Help Phone, the event helps ensure that young people have access to telephone, live chat and online support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
“I don't know where to start but by saying thanks. Thank for all that you do. For being open 24/7; for having a job where you don't know the end result; for keeping secrets - hard secrets; for helping kids through some of the toughest times and for never giving up on kids when, sometimes no one else believes in them.”
The Walk So Kids Can Talk is the single largest day of community action to support the emotional well-being of the young people in our lives and in our community. It’s a day where we encourage participants to bring the young people in their lives. It demonstrates to young people that it is ok to reach out in moments of need or crisis to a trusted adult or to Kids Help Phone if they don’t know where to start
There is no deadline for registration and its not too late to get involved. The Walk So Kids Can Talk is a great way to build community and enjoy a fun, family friendly experience outdoors while supporting an important cause.
If you’re a young person in need of help, Kids Help Phone can be reached online or by phone at 1-800-668-6868.
